The Arbors

program   . The Arbors is an 80 unit, first class, assisted living hotel facility located on the New Jersey “Gold Coast” of Spring Lake.  A two story addition was                     added several years ago, but the second floor did not maintain the same level of occupancy as the rest of the first floor facility.  As the age of most                     residents increased, they desired to remain on the first floor, closer to the Dining Room and Common Areas.  OLANZ Architecture + Design reviewed                   the existing conditions and provided a Conceptual Plan for the combination of twenty individual units on the upper level into ten 1 bedroom                               apartments with kitchens;  more geared to a younger, more active retiree.  The plans generated were utilized for approvals by the local Planning                         Board and the project has now been permitted and is under construction with occupancy anticipated in the Summer of 2013.
